Maidan Kuntuarovich Suleimenov was born on September 30, 1941 in Alma-Ata, Kaz SSR. In 1963 he graduated from S. M. Kirov Kazakh State University (Faculty of Law) with honors. From 1963 to 1966 he was a postgraduate at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of SSSR (Moscow). 1966 to 1969: Junior, Senior Research Associate; 1969 to 1985: Senior Research Associate; 1985 to 1991: Chief of Department titled Legal Problems of National Economy of the Institute of Philosophy and Law Academy of Sciences of KazSSR. 1991 to 1992, 1994 to 1995: Director of the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Science of Kazakhstan. 1992 to 1994: Chief Academic Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan. From 1995: Director of the Research Institute of Private Law at Kazakh State University of Law.
M.K. Suleimenov took part in preparation and execution of a number of international treaties on economic relations. In particular, he was at the head of the Kazakhstan group during negotiations under the Energy Charter Treaty in Brussels (1993 to 2004); he acted as legal adviser on oil contracts of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He represented the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign and Kazakhstan companies and organizations in international disputes. He frequently acted as an expert of Kazakhstan law in court and arbitration proceedings in London, Washington, Stockholm, Houston and Calgary.
M.K. Suleimenov was a leader of the working group and took part in formation of over 80 laws in the field of private law as well as Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He participated in formation of the Model Civil Code of CIS countries, Model laws for CIS countries on joint-stock companies, on limited liability partnerships, on mortgage, on bankruptcy, on securities, etc. He acted as a chief of the writing team for preparation of Comments to the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, civil law textbooks.
M.K. Suleimenov is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, LL.D.., Professor, Director of the Research Institute of Private Law of the Caspian University, Chairman of the Management Board of the Arbitration Chamber of Kazakhstan, member of the Board of Kazakhstan Oil & Gas Industry Bar Association, member of the International Board of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, senior partner of Zanger Law Firm and member of editorial board of 10 law magazines.
He is an author of more than 550 scientific and popular scientific publications related to problems of civil, family, real estate, international private law, private law of procedure (law of alternative dispute resolution) as well as the problems of ownership, legal entities, contracts, subsurface management, oil operations and foreign investment in the Republic of Kazakhstan including also over 50 monographs, textbooks and teaching guides, comments to the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is an author of 9 volumes of complete works titled Private Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan: History and Contemporaneity (Almaty, 2011) as well as 5 volumes of Selectas on private law (Almaty, 2016).
M.K. Suleimenov trained 46 Candidates of Juridical Sciences and 8 Doctors of Juridical Sciences.

Djantemirov Talgat Vyacheslavovich

In 1997 he graduated from KarSTU, in 2001 from E. A. Buketov KarSU with a degree in law.
He worked from 1997 to 2006 in various positions in the companies CJSC "Kargormash", CJSC "Kazimpex", LLP "Eurasia trade NS".
Since 2006. Chairman of the Union of businessmen of Kazakhstan.
As part of the working group, he participated in the development of the draft Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Arbitration".

Sergei Vataev

Mr. Vataev's extensive experience includes corporate, commercial, tax, customs, regulatory issues, contractual and regulatory litigation, and arbitration. He has advised foreign investors in litigation and arbitration proceedings on expropriation issues relating to their investments and has defended clients in commercial and regulatory lawsuits. Mr. Vataev has also advised clients on complex project transactions involving the innovative use of payment and debt instruments, including municipal financing, securitization, and securitization restructuring. Mr. Vataev is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Chairman of the International Arbitration Court (Almaty), a listed arbitrator in the International Arbitration Court "IUS," and Kazakhstan International Arbitrage. He is one of the members of the panel of arbitrators approved by the Chairman of the International Arbitration Centre at the Astana International Financial Centre. Mr. Vataev acted as an arbitrator in cases resolved by the ICC International Court of Arbitration (Paris) and Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Before his solo practice, Mr. Vataev was a partner in major international law firms' Kazakhstan practice. For many years he has been recognized as one of the leading lawyers in Kazakhstan by Chambers Global, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers (in the areas of arbitration, mediation, and litigation), and PLC Which Lawyer (in the field of dispute resolution). He also has been ranked in Band 1 and Band 2 in Dispute Resolution – Kazakhstan practice by Chambers Global for more than ten years in a row. Mr. Vataev has been recognized as a leading lawyer in Kazakhstan by Best Lawyers since 2009 and named by Best Lawyers the "Lawyer of the Year" in 2017-18 for Arbitration and Mediation .

Before entering private practice, he served as legal counsel in a governmental agency and in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he co-drafted several laws. He is fluent in English and Russian.
